Lecturer in Turkish Language - Cornell University
The Department of Near Eastern Studies, College of Arts and Sciences, Cornell University, invites applications for a position as Lecturer in Turkish language for two years beginning in the academic year 2015-16. The successful candidate will teach two courses per semester: Elementary and Intermediate Turkish 1 and 2. Minimum requirements are: a Master's Degree in a related field such as Turkish Literature, Linguistics or Comparative Literature; experience teaching Turkish language (ideally including Ottoman Turkish); and demonstrated commitment to innovative methods of language instruction. The successful candidate will join a department with a long history of teaching Middle East Languages, and a college committed to growing Turkish studies on campus.
