The Swedish-Turkish Scholarship Programme

The Swedish Institute (SI) has the pleasure to announce two calls for scholarship applications for the academic year 2016/2017 within the Swedish-Turkish Scholarship Programme. The scholarship programme aims to forge closer relations between Turkey and the EU with a focus on democracy, human rights, governance and law.
Students and researchers from Turkey can apply. Ideal candidates are ambitious young professionals with outstanding academic qualifications, demonstrated leadership skills and a clear idea of how a study/research visit in Sweden would benefit their contry.
Levels of education:     * Full-time master's level studies (1 or 2 years)
     * Part of PhD studies or Postdoctoral research (6,9 or 12 months)
Eligible fields of study/research:
     *
Democracy / Human rights / Gender issues
     * Management and public administration
     * European studies
     * Law
     * Social and political studies

Number of scholarships for mater's, PhD, postdoc levels in total (for all 3 levels): ca 16
The chances to win a scholarship according to the previous years' statistics are:
About 5% on master's level
About 20% on PhD, postdoctoral level
